It protects the insulation from water vapor generated indoors and significantly reduces the possibility of moisture condensation in building envelopes. Moisture condensation negatively affects the thermal performance of the insulation layer and increases the risk of fungi, bacteria, and mold. The vapor barrier film is made of high-density polyethylene.
